#22 (WEEK 9) Glogster, Animoto, Prezi and more

For this thing, you will explore more ways for students to publish their work.

Glogster, Prezi and Animoto are the antidote for the dreaded poster project. These services are interactive, easy to use and promote 21st century learning and communication. Glogster can be used as an interactive home page, Prezi is a non-linear presentation program that can be used like a powerpoint and Animoto allows students to create short videos with text and music by simply uploading some pictures. Be sure to review the terms and conditions before using these with students and if you work for the Anchorage School District, be sure to turn in the Web 2.0 forms to your principal.

Something to be aware of is that Glogster is often used as a social networking site. Some of the Glogs on the main site can be inappropriate for school so check out Glogster for Education.

Discovery Exercises:
1. Explore Glogster, Prezi, and Animoto - Consider how each could be used with students. What concerns might arise in using these tools with students.
